Makeup Monday #1- DIY Tinted Moisturizer

Hello everyone! Originally for my first Makeup Monday i was gonna do my daily makeup routine however,i didn't because i am still awaiting a few products that i think will work their way into my daily makeup so i figured i would just hold off.

So now back to what this post is about, a DIY tinted moisturizer  I know i know this is pretty self explanatory but i thought i would post this anyways since i do use this daily and its adaptable to how much coverage you want or if you want it matte or with an illuminator. Also another plus its super inexpensive! Ok lets get started...

What You Need
~ A full coverage foundation (i used Revlon Colorstay for oily/combination skin shade 180 sand beige)
~ your'e favorite moisturizer (Cetaphils for all skin types)
~a teaspoon measurement (You could approximate!)
~A small jar of some sort (mines a emptied out Lush lip scrub container)

Directions

first: clean jar of any residue

Second: Pour in the amount of foundation you desire (i put in 3 teaspoons)
1-2 tsp: sheer/light coverage. will even out skin tone but not blur imperfections
3-4 tsp: Medium coverage. Will conceal blemishes, cancel out any redness and last longer

third: Add desired amount of moisturizer ( i used 2 teaspoons, but add less/more again depending on the amount of coverage your'e looking for.

Fourth:  Now you can add an extra such as an illuminator ( i can suggest
L'Oreal True Match Lumi Foundation). Mix it all together using whatever works (q-tip, bobby  pin, end of makeup brush, pencil, etc.)

Fifth: try it out! You can apply it with your hands or use a brush but i prefer clean hands
Sixth: at this step its up  to you want you want to do. You could add more moisturizer to make it less coverage, add more foundation to give it fuller coverage, or add some more illuminator to make it glowier?

For me this was perfect and i didn't need to add anything else! as you can see my right cheek's skin tone is more even and my scars are blurred, my left cheek was left bare. Top this with some concealer and powder and you've got a full-medium coverage look that feels like your natural skin!

Hope this helped some of you guys! Look forward to a Thinking Tuesday tomorrow on one of my HG products!   xoxo-Kaya

The Body Shop and Sephora Haul! + Some First Impressions!

`
So i did a little shopping today even though i should be saving my money but oh well...
I first went to Sephora in which i picked up the Shiseido eyelash curler (i got the last one in stock yayyy) i actually didn't pick this up for myself but for my mom for upcoming Mothers Day. I'll have to get back to you on how she likes it. Also while waiting in line i happened to see this little sample of the Smashbox Photofinish Foundation Primer. I really wanted to try this so i picked it up quickly as a kind of impulse buy.

Next i went by The Body Shop because they were having a really good sale, buy 2 get 2/ buy 3 get 3 on their mini sizes (STILL HAPPENING NOW) so i picked up 2 body butters that i have been hearing so much rave about, a lip butter and a body scrub. I have already used all these products and i love them all! the body butters are SO moisturizing and the strawberry one makes you smell like a strawberry shortcake! The lip butter is very moisturizing and i tend to use it before i go to sleep and i wake up with the most silkiest lips ever. Last but not least the body scrub. This scrub actually surprised me! when i looked at it it looked like it wasn't what you would call grainy enough to do a good job but when i tried it  it was so exfoliating and had tons of small grains that really scrubbed of the dead skin and made my skin feel renewed and glowing. This followed with the body butter made a great spa night.

Hope you enjoyed my mini quick haul! Leave me any comments on what you would like to see from me next!
